We do not collect precise location, contacts, messages, or other unrelated personal data.
How We Use Your Information
We process the data described above to:
- Authenticate your account and maintain secure access.
- Deliver personalized posture insights, videos, and safety alerts.
- Sync live posture telemetry to the cloud so you can review past sessions.
- Understand app performance, crashes, and usage trends to improve reliability.
- Communicate important updates, such as policy changes or service outages.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with trusted service providers who operate under data-protection agreements (e.g., Firebase, Expo, Sentry).
Sharing & Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Service providers: Firebase Authentication/Firestore, Sentry (crash monitoring), Expo Cloud, analytics platforms, email service providers.
- Enterprise customers: For employer-sponsored deployments, we may provide aggregated, de-identified analytics. Individual-level data is shared only with your explicit consent or when legally required.
- Legal/government authorities: If mandated by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or users' safety.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Account and posture session data is kept while your account is active.
- You may request account deletion and associated posture data removal at any time by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days after verifying ownership.
- Crash/diagnostic logs kept by Sentry or Firebase are automatically purged after 90 days.
Your Choices & Controls
- Update your profile information or language preferences in the app.
- Opt out of email communications via links in the messages.
- Stop posture data collection by disconnecting your wearable or ending the session.
- Request a data export or deletion via [email protected] (identity verification required).
Security Measures
We employ organizational and technical safeguards, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all app-to-cloud communications.
- Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated owners.
- Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized backend usage.
- Access controls and least-privilege practices for personnel handling production systems.
Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. Use strong passwords and keep your device software updated.
Children's Privacy
BodyBoost is intended for adult workers and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or best practices. When we make significant updates, we will notify you within the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above tells you when changes took effect.
